You can place your pendant, lamp, or lampshade order online with Meteor Lights by using our ORDER FORM.

Also, you can order by phone at (415) 255-6700, through email at store@meteorlights.com, or visit Meteor Lights at our studio in San Francisco (but if you're coming down, please call first to make sure we're here).

If you contact us by phone after business hours, please leave your name, number, and best time to call (include your time zone). When we speak, we will answer your questions, and ask for the following information:

1. Quantity
2. Lampshade Style (e.g. Reverse X-Large 2-Tier)
3. Lampshade Height*
4. Lampshade Color
5. Lampshade Design (optional) (e.g. webs) and Design Color
6. Lanyard Color (plastic lacing)

* Note the standard height on Lampshade Styles page. We can customize height up to 12" for no extra charge; heights over 12" may be extra.

Packing charges:

• Regular shades (S,M,L): $8.00
• Oversize shades (XL): $10.00
• Regular pendant shades (S,M,L): $10.00
• Oversize pendant shades (XL): $12.00

Shades of different diameters may be nested in some cases, and we will pack your order the most efficient and cost-effective way.

Please note that 18' dia. drums and XL tiered shades are packed in an oversize box which carriers automatically bill at 30 lbs. Shipping for XL shades FOB to the east coast will be around $26 (to residential addresses; slightly less to commercial addresses). Shade 15" dia. and under are billed at normal weight. Shipping for a typical large 2-tier shade FOB to the east coast is about $10.

We ship mostly DHL, although other arrangements can be made. We are not responsible for packages that have had signature delivery waived. DHL does not ship to PO Boxes. Lampshade hardware is generally sent USPS. Hardware orders have a minimum $4.00 shipping & handling charge.

Note that you can save a few dollars on shipping with DHL by having your box sent to a commercial rather than residential address. Applicable Rural Delivery surcharges may apply retroactively to remote destinations.

Orders generally take 4-8 weeks. Some orders (large orders, special orders, wholesale orders) may take longer (usually 6-10 weeks). Our products are carefully and individually fabricated to your specifications. Your patience is appreciated! Please let us know if you need your order by a certain date, and we will try to accommodate if possible.

International Orders
We ship internationally with Air Parcel Post. Air Parcel Post costs much less than the private carriers. The downside is that APP tracking can be troublesome, and the packages tend to take longer getting through customs. If you don't mind paying more for the better tracking and faster shipping with UPS, FedEx , or DHL international services, we will be glad to accommodate you. You will be responsible for any duties or taxes on your end.

Returns
Samples purchased in our studio are exchangeable. Because of the literally millions of possible design options, custom orders are not exchangeable.
